We've been friends since high school and had been barbecuing for our family and friends for years when we decided to try something new.
In the spring of 2013 we got the idea to try our hands at competition after watching the show BBQ Pitmasters. Our first try was at Pork in the Park in Salisbury, MD
The results were mediocre, but we were hooked.
We competed in several amateur events that year and we were really happy with the results. It's pretty fun hanging out with your friend over the weekend making BBQ so we decided to turn Pro and do it for real.
We've been competing in five or six competitions each year ever since.
We had been using our own rub recipe for our competitions and our family and friends were enjoying it as well. We were asked time and again if they were for sale and that gave us the inspiration to get it bottled and start a business.
Our friends Don & Ginger at JO Spice in Baltimore were immensely helpful in getting our first rub 'Space Dust' off the ground and we've been partners ever since.
We now have a nice little line of seasonings that we're very proud of.

We have partnered with the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and a portion of every sale of our seasonings goes to this amazing organization.
They provide fully funded college education to the children of Special Operations personnel that have lost their lives in service to our country.

We were on a roll in the spring of 2016.
We won Reserve Grand Champion at the Naptown BarBayQ in Annapolis, MD
and two weeks later we won our first Grand Championship at the
Second Annual Saltwater Brew 'n' Que in Chincoteague, VA
